Bully Boy Blue – John Nicholl

Bully Boy Blue was published on 13 March 2017 via Amazon Media and is available to buy here

Sometimes victims fight back …

Every aspect of Kathy’s life is dominated by her abusive bully boy husband. Now she’s pregnant and in fear for her life. Can she ever escape him?

An electrifying page-turner of a psychological thriller packed with suspense.

The novella contains material that some readers may find distressing from the start.

It is dedicated to survivors anywhere.

My thoughts

Bully Boy Blue is a novella from John Nicholl. It is short and very very dark.

As usual, Nicholl touches on tough themes. This time, it is the nightmare gone through by a woman. Her name is Kathy. She is abused by her husband. A victim of domestic violence. He has isolated her from the world, painted her as a mad woman and killed her love with pain. This is a story of a woman fighting back.

My verdict… Bully Boy Blue was seriously clever, speeding at a whopping pace and incredibly touching. Nicholl covered a tricky subject with humanity and dark humour. I was cheering for Kathy! You will as well. Recommended!

About Northern Crime

Reviewer with a mind of her own. This is a collection of book reviews, which started in 2014. Mostly crime and odd other genres thrown in. Some I loved. Some I loathed. You get the picture.
